Fur Stoles- Accessory, or Fashion Statement?

At this time of year, you need to keep bundled up. Yes, this winter has been extremely mild, but that doesn’t mean that it will stay that way! Before you know it, we will be experiencing sub-zero temperatures, snow, and frigid winds. The best way to stay cozy in these harsh elements is by equipping yourself with a closet full of warm winter garments. Fur garments such as a fur jacket or shearling coat can keep out the cold, but you’ll need more than just the basics! Luckily for fashionistas everywhere, a trend has been emerged that offers high style as well as warmth. We are talking, of course, about the use of a fur stole.

Furry Stoles have taken the fashion world by storm!

Recently, celebrities have been donning their best furs out on the Hollywood boulevards. Back in October, superstar Beyonce Knowles rocked a beautiful purple dress with a gorgeous matching fur stole draped around her arms. Fashion guru Olivia Palermo has been seen wearing the furry accessory quite often; she usually wears it more like a scarf than a traditional wrap, which creates an even more unique style! Rita Ora, pop singer sensation and fur fashion icon, can’t get enough of the wrap- the lovely starlet has been spied in many different varieties of stoles in a vast selection of colors. The list does not end there; celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Rhianna, Sharon Stone, and Kate Moss all seem to have caught wind of this trend!

Olivia Palermo is just one of many Celebs who have embraced fur stoles.

As we’ve written about before, the fur stole has been very trendy in weddings lately. Winter weddings are a perfect fit for the garment, as the stole can be used to either blend or contrast with the snow depending on its color. Likewise, the garment can create a sense of unity between members of a wedding party; even if bridesmaids are wearing different styles of dresses, a stole will make them match!

Estate Furs Wedding StoleAlthough it is most commonly used as a fashion accessory, a good fur stole still serves its primary purpose, too. Whether it is used in a wedding, in street style, high class fashion, or simply as a last-second addition to your winter outwear, stoles made of real fur are just about the warmest thing you can ask for. Due to the thickness of the material, these garments will keep the biting wind off or your neck and shoulders even in the harshest of conditions. They are second to none!
